After a couple of conversations and a look over the CAD drawings and plans, Bill and Lucy were more than excited to get the work started. The design and installation process had to be handled with care due to restrictions on the building, covered by the Heritage Protection.
The kitchen and serving area were designed to lend itself to the local environment. With a wave, shaped servery and open kitchen archways to help with access but also keeping in character with the archways along the hot walls. Large glass areas both front of house and back of house also allow diners to feel at one with the Solent.
Since opening ‘The Canteen’ has become a huge hit for both its unique decor and feel, but also the excellent quality of food people have come to know and expect from ‘The Tenth Hole’.
Bill told us that that working with BFES was “Stress free from start to finish. Having a good relationship with BFES throughout was important as it was BFES understanding our ideas and visions and making them happen.”
“Anyone needing kitchen or servery builds, general maintenance or one off bits of kitchen equipment; I would 100% recommend BFES. The workmanship, the communication and the ability to adapt during the build to our circumstances or changes of heart stood out for me.”
