Since undertaking the initial service and maintenance agreement with Bedales the relationship between themselves and BFES blossomed. In David’s own words, “BFES offer a better customer relationship, a much more thorough service and the BFES staff are always willing to go that extra mile.”
The time came when Bedales needed to update and expand its washing area. BFES invited David to Holland to view various dish wash conveyor systems, which would help improve the current process at Bedales. As a result of the extremely beneficial trip, BFES were commissioned with installing a new dish and glass washing system. An ergonomic, semi-automatic, handling and sorting system was installed, which included a state-of-the-art environmentally friendly dishwasher.
The professional dishwasher, made by Swedish manufacturer Wexiodisk, offers improved reliability, reduced running costs, as well as a very low impact on the environment. The new improved system means that an improved cleaning time is achieved after each service.
Since the install, David says “the number of items washed and ready for next service has dramatically increased, it has allowed our kitchen staff to use their time far more efficiently prepping food rather than washing equipment. Our energy and water consumption has dropped in comparison to previous systems and processes we were using.”
The ever-improving working relationship and ability to regularly exceed customer expectations within servicing and maintenance led to BFES being invited to install a new washing area at Dunhust School. (Bedales’ Junior School) This install included a Wexiodisk pass-thru dishwasher.
10 years on from the initial install BFES went to visit Bedales to find out how they felt about working with us. Here’s what they said:
How have you found the everyday costs?
“Much lower than expected. It is very environmentally friendly so it won’t begin the clean until there are enough baskets to make the clean worth its while, so our electricity consumption has fallen. It also has saved us so much money in detergents and man hours compared to our old methods.”
Are you happy with the results of the washing, even after 10 years?
“Very much so, I would recommend this piece of equipment in a heartbeat. The quality of the wash is fantastic and it frees up my staff’s time to get on with food prep.”
What have your maintenance costs been like for a piece of equipment this complexed?
“Looking back over the last 10 years our servicing and maintenance costs of the system have been very reasonable. We worked out it costs us £10 per week to have this dishwasher room running efficiently at all times. This figure is based on all parts, servicing and labour we have had in the 10 years we have owned it. We take pride in this fantastic bit of kit and it means that we look after it.”
